Three separate questions
Will the university admit me? Does the programme meet the recognition requirements relevant to me? Do I qualify under my scholarship or funding provider's rules? These are separate questions, and a positive answer to one does not settle the others. Receiving an offer should not end your checks. Organise the information under three clear headings, recording each source and the date you checked it. This helps you avoid transferring confidence from one process to another governed by different rules.
Search for the subject and degree
The Ministry of Education provides a recommended-university enquiry service, searchable by country, university, subject and degree level. Read the result and its accompanying notes rather than relying on the institution's name appearing. Pay attention to the programme's official name, campus or branch, and mode of study. If you cannot clearly match your offer to the result, use the Ministry's official enquiry channel for your specific case, providing the details needed for an informed answer.
Use the current application route
When this guide was prepared, the Ministry of Education's scholarship application service directed applicants to the “Qabool” platform. Older pages or other procedures may still refer to different platforms, so always begin from the current official service page and read the notices for your pathway. Do not rely on an old link saved from an advertisement or message. Check the open cycle's conditions, lists and deadlines before planning your steps or making payments based on an unconfirmed date.
Create a verification file for your offer
Keep the institution's official name, degree level, subject, programme length, location, teaching language and attendance mode, together with the programme-page link and admission offer. Make any differences between these details easy to see. The purpose is a file that can be checked quickly and clearly, rather than a large collection of screenshots. Date your versions so an older list is not confused with a newer one, and repeat the checks if the programme, institution or start date changes.
Take responsibility for your application
The Ministry's service guidance states that applicants are responsible for applying and uploading documents themselves because the process includes declarations and commitments. Educational guidance can help you understand requirements, organise documents and check consistency, but it cannot replace your own reading and informed agreement. Protect your login details and verification codes; do not share them to speed up the process. Check every entry before confirming it, and retain the application acknowledgement and related official correspondence.
Base financial decisions on confirmed information
A university offer or submitted scholarship application is not final approval. Before making a non-refundable payment, consider how a deferral or unavailable funding would affect your plan. Ask the institution for written deferral and cancellation terms, and the funder for a clear explanation of your application's stage and what it means. Verbal promises and other students' previous experiences are not guarantees. Decisions depend on your case and the rules in force when it is assessed.
Turn shared information into questions to verify
Other people's experiences may flag something worth investigating, but they do not establish your programme's eligibility. If you hear that a subject has been added or a requirement has changed, find the official announcement, its date and its scope. When information conflicts, record a precise question and use the appropriate channel rather than choosing the easiest answer. Update your comparison table after each change and tell anyone assisting you. Careful checks at the outset protect your time and give you a stronger basis for comparing options.
